Doyden is a fantastic contemporary property located in the heart of Polzeath, at the luxury Pinewood development, less than five minutes’ walk from the popular surfing beach. With great sea and beach views over Polzeath, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Doyden has been stylishly furnished to an exceptionally high standard in warm natural tones throughout that perfectly compliment the relaxed beach lifestyle in true luxury. Set over three floors, this property boasts a superb and incredibly social open plan kitchen, dining, living area across the first floor; two bedrooms, a family bathroom and utility on the ground floor; and two master bedrooms with en-suites on the second floor.
A balcony extending out from the lounge showcases stunning sea and beach views, creating an idyllic spot to sit in the morning with a cup of tea and the sound of the waves. To the rear of the property is an enclosed decked terrace which is a real sun trap, perfect for afternoon and evening meals. Doyden even has the added benefit of a huge grassy communal garden with picnic tables and a private pathway down to the beach road, making all of the shops, cafés and restaurants in Polzeath a mere stone’s throw away.
There are two parking spaces at Doyden and more parking is available locally if required.
The BurtonsWe have absolutely LOVED our time here! The house and location are amazing. We’ve explored lots of local villages and had some amazing food, along with plenty of much needed relaxing. We loved opening up the whole balcony door area and reading our books. Hopefully this won’t be our last visit to Polzeath!
Bedroom Three
Bedroom three is a lovely light room with handy zip and link beds which can be made up as twins or a super king. There is also an additional single bed making this a great family room, sleeping up to three guests. The built in wardrobes and bedside tables provide plenty of storage for all of your belongings.
Bedroom Four
An additional set of zip and link beds in this room provide further flexibility by allowing the room to be made up with twin beds or a super king, to ensure Doyden works well whatever your group dynamic. A built in wardrobe, bedside table and fun artwork finish the room.
Family Bathroom
This fresh, modern bathroom services bedrooms three and four and is also great for those coming in from the beach with W.C, hand basin and walk in wet room style shower.
Utility Room
The spacious utility includes a sink and a Bosch washer/dryer, as well as providing plenty of space to store luggage.
Kitchen, Dining & Living Area
The first floor is what really makes Doyden special and it consists entirely of a fantastic large open plan kitchen, dining and living space. Chic interiors of the highest standard feature BoConcept Sofas, a cosy wood burner and a beautiful Italian marble topped Saarinen Tulip dining table with Charles Eames dining chairs. The room opens out on both ends, to a balcony overlooking the beach at the front via full width bi-fold doors that flood the room with light, and to an enclosed decked terrace area to the rear. The interiors are designed with natural beach colours in mind and meticulously furnished with high quality designer pieces from Aram London, creating luxury coastal living at its finest.
Doyden is also well equipped with plenty of great audio-visual equipment such as the fantastic Bang & Olufsen music system that will be sure to provide the soundtrack to your stay with wireless streaming through Apple AirPlay, an iPod dock and aux cable. A wall mounted flatscreen TV, Blu Ray DVD Player and SKY+ means that you can always get your TV fix too, if you can tear yourself away from the beautiful coastline that is.
From the kitchen you can look back across the whole room making this an incredibly social space when cooking. The kitchen, is extremely well equipped with an integrated Gorenj fridge freezer, a double Rangemaster induction cooker, Nespresso coffee machine, Dualit kettle and toaster and a Kitchen Aid mixer.
Please note: guests with pacemakers should avoid using the Induction Hob as this can interfere with the device.
Master Bedroom
This spacious master bedroom with sumptuous king size bed and built in wardrobe even has a Juliet balcony to take in those fantastic views. The large en-suite includes W.C, double hand basin, a deep bath rub to sink into and a shower over the bath.
Bedroom Two
Bedroom two is a similar room, effectively providing two master bedrooms in this house. Another inviting king size bed is the centrepiece of this room, with a built in wardrobe and en-suite with W.C, hand basin and walk in glass corner shower enclosure.
The enclosed decked terrace accessed via the first floor is a fantastic sun trap, fully equipped with an outdoor dining table and charcoal BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining in the warm summer evenings.
An outdoor shower on the ground floor is ideal for arriving home after a surf or a long day on the beach. A large lockable surf store just next to this is perfect for storing buckets and spades, surf boards, wetsuits and anything else you may need to bring with you for an activity packed stay.
There are two parking spaces also on ground level and more parking is available locally if required.
The well maintained shared garden is a huge grassy space surrounded by wild flowers and trees, and enjoys fantastic views overlooking Polzeath beach. A private pathway takes you straight down to the bottom of Polzeath away from the main road.

Things to do in and around
Sea Kayaking
With the beach, ocean and miles of countryside on your doorstep, there’s no shortage of activities to occupy you during your holiday. Learn to surf or SUP, or simply hire the equipment out. Coasteering and Kayak tours provide a unique glimpse of the coastline and the opportunity to explore hidden coves, secret beaches and iconic harbours.
For the adrenalin junkies, wakeboarding, speedboat charters and water and kite skiing on the Camel Estuary will be your playground. For the land lovers, there’s no end of exceptional cycling and walking opportunities. Whether taking in the South West Coast Path, ambling the Camel Trail or mountain biking one of Cornwall’s nearby forest trails. Whatever you want to do, our concierge will find and organise it for you.
Polzeath Beach
Polzeath Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Cornwall, if not the UK. Great for families and learning to surf, it’s lifeguarded throughout the peak seasons. There is a dog ban during the peak season, but follow the South West Coast Path round to neighbouring dog friendly Daymer Bay, an enormous expanse of sand lapped by the Camel Estuary.
If you’re feeling particularly energetic you can follow the coast path round to Rock where there are plenty of pubs serving great local food.
Fish & Chips from The Point
Holidays are all about the food and drink, and there’s no better place than the north coast of Cornwall to indulge in the freshest produce. Polzeath has lots of great pubs, restaurants and cafes, all within a short walk. Surfside and Decksteppers are great for coming off the beach for lunch or a relaxed dinner in the evening. The Oystercatcher is a popular pub with plenty of outside seating and serving local ales.
Rock is just a 5 minute drive away and is known for its selection of great pubs and restaurants overlooking the Camel Estuary. From here you can hop on the water taxi and visit Padstow for the ultimate in fresh Cornish produce. For a really special night, Paul Ainsworth at Number 6 in Padstow is a must.
Relaxing and unwinding is a crucial part of a holiday. Recuperate and indulge as much as possible. When the sun’s shining, hit the beach and soak up the vitamin D.

Every guest staying with us has access to our very popular complimentary concierge services so that we can help you with local information or book things for you. The items below are just some of things that we can organise for your stay but please call our concierge team for more help and ideas!
We can offer a whole range of additional housekeeper services to suit your requirements. If you are looking for daily or regular housekeeping during your stay, or perhaps more frequent linen and towel changes, then this can normally be provided by our housekeeping partners.
There will be a local service charge to pay to the housekeeping company although our concierge team can organise this for you. n.b. Some housekeeping companies do not always work on Sundays and have a minimum service time.
Babysitting or childcare can be a very important part of a stay, particularly if you would like to go to a great fine dining restaurant or maybe spend a day doing activities that aren’t so child friendly.
We have access to a number of childcare professionals or local babysitters that live locally to all of our properties. n.b. Due to insurance reasons, we only pass on names and numbers and leave you to make the final decision on who to employ.
If you would like to do any cycling during your stay, we can organise bike hire for you. We can arrange to have a range of bikes and accessories delivered to the house, or if you want to just turn up somewhere and cycle, we can arrange for them to be dropped off and collected from any location in Cornwall.
If you would like to hire surf boards, stand-up paddle boards or kayaks during your stay, we can organise this for you. Surfing is the ultimate holiday sport and kayaking is a great way to explore the beautiful coastline or waterways near your holiday home.
We strongly recommend that you always obtain professional lessons before ever taking to the water, which we can also organise for you.
Whether its a private boat charter to enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the coastline, a day out at sea to catch some big fish for your tea, or a high speed ride on a rib searching for wildlife, we can arrange it for you!
Why not try a bread making class in the luxury of your Beach House. A chef tutor will visit the house with all the necessary ingredients and equipment, and teach you how to make delicious fresh bread or work with you on how to master a particular type of bread. The great thing about learning within one of our houses is that not only is there no travelling, its a much more personal experience. n.b. Prices start from £75 per person, minimum of two participants although one to one lessons can be agreed.
Chef Prepared Dinners is a very flexible bespoke food service. The way that it works is that you discuss what food you would like with one of our partner chefs, they prepare it and then deliver it to you on the agreed day, together with cooking instructions!
All you have to do is turn on the cooker for items that need cooking, follow a few simple instructions and then hey presto, a gourmet banquet is on the table! As well as gourmet food, you can also order simple homemade dishes as well.
Our concierge team can recommend the best restaurants in the area to help you get the most out of your stay and we’ll even take care of all of the reservations for you too.
Let us know where you would like to go and we can take all of the hassle out of organising your group and make those all important bookings on your behalf. We have great connections with all of the local restaurants so where possible we will make sure you get the best table and that all your needs are catered for.
If you are bringing the family dog away on holiday with you to one of our dog friendly properties and you want go somewhere for the day/evening that does not permit dogs, we can organise a dog sitter to look after your dog and keep it company while you are out!
In addition to sitting with them, they can sometimes also take them out for a few extra walks as well as make a fuss of them until your return. For more details, talk to our concierge team.
Learn to cook delicious fish and shellfish in the luxury and comfort of your Beach House. A chef tutor will visit the house bringing all the necessary ingredients and equipment to teach you everything you need to know about preparing and cooking fish and shellfish. If you’re already a keen cook of seafood at home, then why not work with the chef to master that particular dish you just can’t quite perfect.

Take part in guided foraging walks, cooking and dining courses and gourmet experiences, with wild food collected from the coastline around your Beach House.

To save valuable car space or the hassle of going shopping when you first arrive, we can arrange for groceries to be delivered and packed away at the house ready for your arrival*. There is normally a small local service charge for this service and is subject to availability so talk to us early if your stay falls within a busy period. To save space in the car, allow us to stock the wine fridge up for your arrival. We work with a small number of local wine merchants who will deliver to your Beach House or work with our local services company to get the deliveries to you.
As well as being a space and time saving service, it can also give you greater access to locally made wines and spirits which you may not have come across before.
If you decide to fly or get the train to your holiday home destination we can help to organise car hire for your stay to help you explore the local area. We can also book taxis for transfers to and from the airport/train station, as well as booking taxis to get you to and from your dinner reservations or anywhere else you like.

Our concierge team can advise on where you can find all the best local watersport activities available such as stand up paddleboarding, jet skis, kayaking, coasteering, waterskiing, wakeboarding, ringos, sailing, powerboat courses and much more.
We can book lessons for you and liaise with individual watersport companies to help ensure the service is tailored to your ability and experience.
Delicious Wood Fired Pizzas take on average just 90 seconds to cook! Our partner chef will turn up to your Beach House (in rain or shine!) and set up the mobile wood fired pizza oven and gazebos. After around an hour, it’s ready to go and pizza all round.
This is a real fun and interactive food experience that can involve the whole family. You can prepare the dough, decorate it with you personal pizza topping and then cook it as well. The wood fired oven is very portable and can be placed in most locations.
