Sea Thrift is a fantastic four bedroom property that has just been lovingly renovated to a high standard. Sitting in a superb location overlooking Mawgan Porth, Sea Thrift commands stunning sea and beach views and is just a five minute walk from Mawgan Porth’s golden sands and great surf.
The ground floor at Sea Thrift features a large open plan well equipped kitchen and dining room with SONOS wireless music speaker, a spacious utility, a large lounge with wall-mounted flat screen TV with SKY and a PlayStation 4. A spacious conservatory opens out onto the garden which provides the perfect viewing spot for taking in the wonderful ever changing sea views, whatever the weather.
The first floor comprises four spacious bedrooms accommodating up to six guests. You can enjoy glorious sea views from the sumptuous super-king bed in the Master Bedroom with en-suite, or from the flexible zip and link beds in Bedroom Two which can be made up as either twin beds or a super-king.
Bedroom Two has as en-suite with hand basin and WC, and uses the contemporary family bathroom for showering and bathing. The family bathroom also services two lovely single bedrooms. A good sized private garden with outdoor dining furniture allows you to enjoy lovely meals outside overlooking the beach.
Sea Thrift can be rented with its sister property, Seascape (known locally as Green Hedges) next door, to accommodate up to 12 guests in 8 bedrooms, creating a fantastic space for large groups.
The Seniors, BerkshireI just wanted to say we were absolutely delighted with the property - I think it is one of the most beautiful locations and even though the photographs looked good, it was even better in real life.
The house was beautifully furnished and equipped with everything one could possibly think of. The welcoming milk, eggs, scones etc… were a lovely touch too.
A large open plan kitchen and dining room is the heart of the home, providing a really social space for everyone to come together to cook and dine. A wireless SONOS 3 music speaker allows you to play your own music through your iPad or iPhone, setting the mood for wonderful dinner sat together around the large dining table.
The lounge features a stylish sofas that you can sink into whilst watching films on the large wall-mounted flat screen TV, fully equipped with Sky TV and a PlayStation 4 that doubles up as a Blu Ray player. The TV also has an Apple TV connected for streaming your own movies. Double doors from both the lounge and the dining room open into the conservatory creating a wonderfully open flow of space.
Stylish rattan lounge furniture means that you can sit comfortably in the conservatory overlooking the garden and enjoying the stunning views of the waves rolling onto the beach. There is also a utility room with storage cupboards, washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a downstairs cloak room.
A large window sets the scene for the master bedroom with stunning sea views being the central feature of this room. A sumptuous super king bed is guaranteed to make you want to stay in bed in the morning and take in that wonderful view with a cup of tea and a good book.
The master en-suite bathroom comprises a large shower, hand basin and WC. Bedroom Two enjoys the same fantastic views as the master bedroom but also has the added flexibility of zip and link beds which can be made up as either twins or a super king bed.
Bedroom Two also has an en-suite WC with hand basin. Bedrooms three and four are both cosy single bedrooms, perfect for children or single adults. A contemporary bathroom with large walk-in shower services these bedrooms.
The good sized garden is fenced to the sides to provide privacy from neighbours but a low traditional Cornish wall to the bottom of the garden ensures you can still enjoy the sea and beach views.
A patio area with outdoor dining furniture allows you to relax outside with an evening meal, a bottle of wine and Mawgan Porth’s beautiful sunset. The outdoor shower is ideal for washing off sandy feet and wetsuits when returning from the beach and a storage shed makes for a handy surf store. There is ample car parking for two cars.

Mawgan Porth is a great beach for learning to surf, with lessons and hire available from King Surf school. For the adrenaline junkies, Extreme Academy at Watergate Bay offer the likes of kite surfing, traction kiting and wave skiing among other things. Lusty Glaze Adventure Center also offers abseiling, zip wiring and jet skiing.

Mawgan Porth Beach
Mawgan Porth is a gorgeous west-facing expanse of golden sand, perfect for watersports and surfers of all abilities. The beach is life guarded throughout the peak season and has a number boutique shops, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance. The South West Coast Path takes you on a picturesque walk along to the enormous Watergate Bay to the West or the iconic Bedruthan Steps to the East.
Just outside of Newquay, Mawgan Porth is within easy reach of countless beautiful north coast beaches, including the famous Watergate Bay and Fistral, Lusty Glaze and Porth - to name just a few!

Mawgan Porth has a number of great cafes and restaurants lining the beach - all great for a quick bite or evening meal. For a truly special evening, The Scarlet Hotel’s incredible restaurant is unbeatable, with seasonally changing menu serving up succulent local produce.

Every guest staying with us has access to our very popular complimentary concierge services so that we can help you with local information or book things for you. The items below are just some of things that we can organise for your stay but please call our concierge team for more help and ideas!
We can offer a whole range of additional housekeeper services to suit your requirements. If you are looking for daily or regular housekeeping during your stay, or perhaps more frequent linen and towel changes, then this can normally be provided by our housekeeping partners.
There will be a local service charge to pay to the housekeeping company although our concierge team can organise this for you. n.b. Some housekeeping companies do not always work on Sundays and have a minimum service time.
Babysitting or childcare can be a very important part of a stay, particularly if you would like to go to a great fine dining restaurant or maybe spend a day doing activities that aren’t so child friendly.
We have access to a number of childcare professionals or local babysitters that live locally to all of our properties. n.b. Due to insurance reasons, we only pass on names and numbers and leave you to make the final decision on who to employ.
If you would like to do any cycling during your stay, we can organise bike hire for you. We can arrange to have a range of bikes and accessories delivered to the house, or if you want to just turn up somewhere and cycle, we can arrange for them to be dropped off and collected from any location in Cornwall.
If you would like to hire surf boards, stand-up paddle boards or kayaks during your stay, we can organise this for you. Surfing is the ultimate holiday sport and kayaking is a great way to explore the beautiful coastline or waterways near your holiday home.
We strongly recommend that you always obtain professional lessons before ever taking to the water, which we can also organise for you.
Whether its a private boat charter to enjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the coastline, a day out at sea to catch some big fish for your tea, or a high speed ride on a rib searching for wildlife, we can arrange it for you!
Why not try a bread making class in the luxury of your Beach House. A chef tutor will visit the house with all the necessary ingredients and equipment, and teach you how to make delicious fresh bread or work with you on how to master a particular type of bread. The great thing about learning within one of our houses is that not only is there no travelling, its a much more personal experience. n.b. Chef Prepared Dinners is a very flexible bespoke food service. The way that it works is that you discuss what food you would like with one of our partner chefs, they prepare it and then deliver it to you on the agreed day, together with cooking instructions!
All you have to do is turn on the cooker for items that need cooking, follow a few simple instructions and then hey presto, a gourmet banquet is on the table! As well as gourmet food, you can also order simple homemade dishes as well.
Our concierge team can recommend the best restaurants in the area to help you get the most out of your stay and we’ll even take care of all of the reservations for you too.
Let us know where you would like to go and we can take all of the hassle out of organising your group and make those all important bookings on your behalf. We have great connections with all of the local restaurants so where possible we will make sure you get the best table and that all your needs are catered for.
If you are bringing the family dog away on holiday with you to one of our dog friendly properties and you want go somewhere for the day/evening that does not permit dogs, we can organise a dog sitter to look after your dog and keep it company while you are out!

To save valuable car space or the hassle of going shopping when you first arrive, we can arrange for groceries to be delivered and packed away at the house ready for your arrival*. This service normally works best when using a local grocery shop partner.

The Pop up Restaurant is a really novel catering experience and isn’t just limited to the grounds of the house that you are staying in, you can have a pop up personal restaurant anywhere! Think romantic meal for two on a beach or surprise dinner party in the woods – as long as a vehicle can get close to it, a restaurant can be provided!
You choose the location and menu and our chef will provide the rest. This is a great unique option for a one-off special occasion.
Our most popular concierge service is a private chef. You can enjoy a delicious gourmet experience in the comfort of your own Beach House, creating the perfect evening for a special occasion! We work with a small number of highly experienced chefs that provide food of the highest standard and in addition to preparing and serving, they also clean and wash up afterwards! We can organise chefs for a one off special occasion, a few nights during your stay or even three meals a day for the full duration of your stay.

To save space in the car, allow us to stock the wine fridge up for your arrival. We work with a small number of local wine merchants who will deliver to your Beach House or work with our local services company to get the deliveries to you.
As well as being a space and time saving service, it can also give you greater access to locally made wines and spirits which you may not have come across before.
If you decide to fly or get the train to your holiday home destination we can help to organise car hire for your stay to help you explore the local area. We can also book taxis for transfers to and from the airport/train station, as well as booking taxis to get you to and from your dinner reservations or anywhere else you like.

Our concierge team can advise on where you can find all the best local watersport activities available such as stand up paddleboarding, jet skis, kayaking, coasteering, waterskiing, wakeboarding, ringos, sailing, powerboat courses and much more.

Delicious Wood Fired Pizzas take on average just 90 seconds to cook! Our partner chef will turn up to your Beach House (in rain or shine!) and set up the mobile wood fired pizza oven and gazebos. After around an hour, it’s ready to go and pizza all round.
This is a real fun and interactive food experience that can involve the whole family. You can prepare the dough, decorate it with you personal pizza topping and then cook it as well. The wood fired oven is very portable and can be placed in most locations.

We loved our stay at Sea Thrift, so quiet, we never tired of the ever changing view over the bay - a real treat to wake up to each morning. We enjoyed a walk on the beach each day, which was very easy to access via the footpath and a good workout for the legs on the way back up (not sure this would suit everyone). The house was very well equipped, so handy to have bin bags, dishwasher tablets etc… already available and decent coffee every day. Our son was thrilled with the PS4! As the property is new, it was very clean and well presented.
