Tina Fairhurst
Managing Director
Tina left behind a FTSE 100 career to move to Cornwall. London born, but with her father’s Cornish blood in her veins, she found a love for North Cornwall and visited almost weekly, so the decision to move permanently seemed an entirely natural one. A workaholic, Tina is also a co-founder of both The Beach House Company and an award-winning holiday home services business. Her organisational skills are legendary and her enthusiasm is infectious and, when not working, Tina can be found discovering parts of Cornwall that she has not yet visited or restaurant research!
Scott Fairhurst
1968 - 2015
Scott was the joint founder of The Beach House Company and a workaholic with bags of energy, passionate about everything to do with each step of the process in renting high-end luxury holiday homes. After leaving an executive position within a FTSE 100 company to return home to Cornwall, he jointly set up an award-winning holiday home services business which gave him an incredible insight into the world of luxury self catering and the perspectives of agents, owners and guests. Scott passed away in June 2015.
Emily Turner
Sales & Marketing Director
Born and raised in Somerset, Emily graduated from Plymouth University in 2011 with a passion in all things to do with travel. She initially started a career in retail, but during a weekend visit to Cornwall visiting friends, she decided to relocate to Cornwall and find her dream job. We are so glad that she did and she joined us within a few weeks of moving. Emily spends a lot of her spare time with her friends and family enjoying the beach lifestyle. She is the official office chocoholic and we think that she personally keeps Cadbury’s share price in a positive place!
Dominic Walford
Sales & Marketing Manager
Dominic joined the The Beach House Company team in the summer of 2016, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his long and successful business background in the financial sector, business management and luxury cruise excursions. In 2006, Dominic launched a successful local childcare nursery business with his wife - who now manages the day-to-day running of the nursery.
In his spare time, Dominic is an on-call fireman and President of the Wadebridge Chamber of Commerce. And, in what little spare time remains, Dominic is a keen surfer and enjoys anything water based.
Rebecca Bennett
PR Officer
Rebecca grew up in Devon and graduated from Plymouth university in 2011 with a degree in English and Creative Writing. With a passion for travel, she has been to some fantastic places including New Zealand, Indonesia and Tahiti where she followed her passion for walking and hiking as well as updating her own blog. On returning from her travels, she started her career within an internet-based company, where she developed crucial ecommerce and social media skills. A love for travel and a passion for Cornwall, however, brought her to The Beach House Company, and we were delighted when she joined our expanding team.
Joe Knight
Property Advisor
Joe is a Cornish boy at heart who loves exploring the enormous county in order to recommend places to visit and restaurants to eat in. Having studied Events Management and Tourism at University, Joe gained valuable experience at Wembley Arena in London before returning to his roots in Cornwall. Before joining the The Beach House Company team. Joe worked for the one and only Rick Stein at his Padstow accommodation and Seafood Restaurant, so we were delighted when Joe decided to bring some of his expertise in customer service to our team.
Robyn Griffin
Property Advisor
Born in London, and raised in Somerset, Robyn and her partner loved to visit Cornwall. So in the summer of 2015, they uprooted and moved even further West to the best County in the UK. Robyn has worked in a number of customer serviced-based roles, most notably in high-end retails, developing skills that have transferred to her position at The Beach House Company to advise our customers honestly and impartially when it comes to finding the right property for their needs and preferences. Her infectious and warm personality keeps the mood in the office light.
Danielle Fairhurst
Operations Team
Danielle has spent the latter part of her life growing up around holiday homes and guest services, so when she set up her own part time in-house services business looking after pets, no-one was surprised. Educated in travel and tourism, Danielle helps to make sure that things go smoothly for guests as well as being a regular point of contact for owners as well. She also loves kayaking and can be found exploring the north and south Cornwall coasts or cycling the trails at Lanhydrock.
Ruth Rushton
Finance Director
When she's not crunching numbers, she's hiking through jungles in Thailand, climbing mountains in Africa or trekking the Andes for charity; Ruth is our worldly Finance manager. Prior to training as an accountant, Ruth managed her own interior design business. Coming to work at The Beach House Company is a happy amalgamation of Ruth's passion for beautiful homes and tenacious numerical talent.
Mum to one son and a big-eared dog, Ruth will be partaking in a motorcycle teddy bear relay around the country in July to raise money for charity, with other 90 riders taking part the event hopes to set a new World Record.
