The health and wellbeing of our guests, property owners, service providers, employees and local communities is our top priority during this challenging time. We’re committed to following government guidelines and we will only be welcoming guests back to Cornwall once the government confirms it is safe to do so.
Updated 18th May 2020
We are not currently accepting new bookings for arrivals before 3rd September 2020. We will continue to review this as information regarding time frames for lockdown becomes clearer.
Further updates to lockdown were issued by the government on 10th May, confirming that hospitality business (including accommodation) may be able to reopen no earlier than 4th July 2020. Any stays due to take place before 4th July will therefore not be going ahead. Due to the huge volume of guests this is impacting, our team are currently working through all bookings in date order and we will be contacting all guests impacted. We thank you for your patience while you wait to hear from our team.
Due to the exceptionally high volumes of customer queries we are receiving, we will only be responding to queries relating to bookings with an arrival date within the next two weeks as a priority for the time being. If you have a query that refers to an upcoming stay, please read our FAQs relating to the current situation below:
I have an upcoming booking, what are my options?
The UK government restriction on travel and closure of holiday accommodation currently prevents any stays from going ahead. We are reviewing the government updates and contacting all guests due to stay within confirmed lockdown periods to discuss insurance, transfer, and refund options.
If your stay is currently outside of the confirmed UK lockdown period, then we are operating on the basis that your stay is continuing to go ahead, unless confirmed by further government updates.
My final balance is due soon, do I need to pay it?
If your balance is due and the dates of your stay are not in the confirmed lockdown period, please continue to pay it by the due date, 6 weeks before your stay.
If your stay is outside of the current confirmed lockdown period and you wish to cancel your stay and/or not pay the final balance, our normal cancellation terms do apply.
Are you taking new bookings?
We are currently taking bookings for September 2020 onwards. We are not currently accepting new bookings for summer 2020, however, the situation is continuously changing, and we are following government updates closely. If you are interested in booking a summer 2020 break, please email us to register your interest and we will contact you if it becomes safe to travel and restrictions are confirmed to be lifted for this period.
I have, or am looking to book, a future stay – what measures are in place to ensure the property will be safe?
We are currently waiting on government updates to advise what safety measures will be required in holiday homes before they can re-open. We will be working with service providers to follow these guidelines closely, to ensure the safety of everyone. In addition to this, we already have the following steps in place:
– All of our properties are cleaned to a high standard on every changeover and housekeepers will also be paying additional attention to hard surfaces such as door handles, appliances and remotes, using anti-bacterial products.
– To limit non-essential contact, properties that normally have a face-to-face ‘meet and greet’ service will now have ‘self check-in’ via key safe entry and key information provided over the phone.
